Muslim Mental Health Crisis: How Porn is Destroying Men
There’s a crisis no one talks about, but almost every Muslim man today is affected by it. A crisis that’s stripping away masculinity, crushing confidence, and breaking our connection with Allah.
It’s not just a “bad habit.” It’s an addiction. A disease. A silent killer of our strength, our focus, and our purpose.
It’s pornography.
The Weakening of Men
Look around. How many Muslim men do you see struggling with laziness, anxiety, social awkwardness, and lack of motivation? How many feel lost, disconnected, and powerless?
A lot of it comes back to this one thing.
Porn drains a man of his drive. It weakens his ability to lead, to stay disciplined, and to control his desires. It makes him passive, self-indulgent, and weak-willed. Instead of striving for greatness, he wastes hours watching other men do what he should be doing—conquering, achieving, and building.
It messes up his mind. His focus is shot, his memory is poor, and his attention span is worse than ever. He can’t sit through a khutbah without zoning out, can’t concentrate in salah, and can’t finish tasks without distraction.
It destroys his confidence. He feels ashamed, guilty, and unworthy. He struggles to interact with real women. He avoids responsibility. He becomes a shadow of the man he could be.
The Spiritual Cost
This isn’t just a mental health issue. It’s a spiritual war.
A man who fills his eyes with haram loses the sweetness of Iman. His duas feel empty. His salah feels rushed. His connection with Allah becomes weak.
And worst of all? He starts believing that he can never change. That he’s too far gone. That he’s doomed to be stuck in this cycle forever.
That’s exactly what Shaytan wants.
Taking Back Control
If you’re stuck in this cycle, listen carefully: you are not powerless.
You were created to be stronger than your desires. You were built for discipline, strength, and leadership. But you have to take action.
Block the access – Delete, filter, remove. Make it hard to fall.
Get busy with purpose – An empty man falls into sin. A man with a mission stays focused.
Strengthen your salah and Quran connection – The more light you bring into your heart, the less room there is for darkness.
Surround yourself with strong men – Weak men drag you down. Righteous men push you forward.
Fix your body, fix your mind – Exercise, eat clean, and sleep well. A strong body helps break addiction.
This fight is not easy. But it’s worth it. Because the world doesn’t need more weak men drowning in their desires. It needs men of action, strength, and taqwa.
So be that man. Break free. Take back your life. And step into the role Allah created you for.
This version speaks directly to Muslim men, appealing to their sense of responsibility, strength, and leadership.
